Manifesto
What does it mean to be heard?
TEDxKingsmillsYouth was built on a quiet conviction - that the most necessary ideas are often the ones we've been taught to keep small. Voices is our open door for them.
For one day in July, students, teachers, founders, parents, and dreamers gather at YMCA, 1699 Deerfield Rd to share talks no algorithm would surface. Eight to twelve speakers. Eight to twelve ideas worth carrying home. One room that decides to listen - really listen.

A twelve-year-old refused to wait for permission.
"I kept hearing brilliant things in hallways, lunch tables, and car rides. They were never going to make it to a stage. So I built one."
Thiya Sakthi is the founder and lead organizer of TEDxKingsmillsYouth. She is twelve. She writes in margins, listens better than most adults in the room, and believes that ideas worth spreading shouldn't have to wait for adulthood.
What started as a notebook of unanswered questions has become a curated day of talks, conversations, and quiet courage - held in Lebanon, Ohio, and shaped by a team of students who refuse to be told they're too young to mean what they say.
Speaker Journey
From ideatostage.
We don't believe in talent shows. We believe in the slow, deliberate craft of clarifying what you actually mean and saying it well enough that someone else can carry it.
Apply
Submit your idea, a single thought worth fourteen minutes of a stranger's attention.
Conversation
A 20-minute call with our curation team. Honest, generous, and quietly rigorous.
Shaping
Three weeks of writing, structure, and the search for the one sentence the talk is really about.
Rehearsal
Speaker coaching, on-stage runs, and the small edits that make an idea travel further.
Stage
July 25 - YMCA, 1699 Deerfield Rd - Lebanon, OH 45036. The room you've been writing toward.
Afterlife
Your talk lives online, in classrooms, in playlists, in conversations you'll never hear.
The Team
The small room that decided to listen.
